A Week End Away

21st April 2015

Hi everyone! This week end I went to Ireland (home) for a client’s wedding. She is based in London but was getting married in County Wicklow. Sapphire Pink was perfect for her as we were able to do all of her pre wedding beauty and wellness bits and bobs here in London, and then I flew out to the Emerald Isle to do her and her bridal party’s makeup on the day.

IMG_2682Saturday morning was a very early start for me. I was up and on the road at 6am in order to get the entire bridal party ready for the big day. I was so relieved to see the absolutely perfect weather through my bedroom window.

IMG_2805I arrived at the venue after a two and half hour drive from home to the most beautiful view. The weather had got even better and was uncharacteristically perfect for Ireland.

IMG_2757I was shown around by the housekeeper who was very excited to show me the new pool which had just been put into the basement (to be fair I would have been having kittens over it too if it meant that I could swim at any time of the year in Ireland!)

IMG_2692My client was such a beautiful bride. Her typically Irish dark hair and milky skin was so easy to work with. She wanted to look sun kissed and glowing so I used a lovely highlighting primer and a dewy foundation.

IMG_2705I will be putting up the final looks from the day on the website so keep your eyes on the gallery. This bridal party was totally exquisite, I can’t wait to share it with all of you. Here is a sneak peak of the three beautiful bridesmaids…

girlsI left the bridal party as they departed for the ceremony and started my two and a half hour drive back home to Tipp. I got home just in time for the last hours of sunshine.

IMG_2771The weather was extraordinarily gorgeous which meant only one thing, a walk with the dogs by the river!

IMG_2856The garden was looking so beautiful and the change in season was evident everywhere. One of my favourite parts of the garden is the castle ruin. You can still climb to the top of the turrets (which is where I am convinced I will find my dragon slaying Price charming!)

IMG_2905The weather started closing in so I scuttled home with the dogs and enjoyed a cosy night in before flying back to London the next day.

IMG_2986Luckily I was met by London in Spring which helped when my alarm went off at 6am this morning! I kicked things off with a polo lesson and a cuddle with this one…

IMG_3009Have a happy week everyone… how can’t you with this weather!!
