9th December 2014

This month I am going skiing, getting festive with all the christmas parties that my lovely friends are hosting and going home to Ireland for a lovely family Christmas. As a result my December makeup bag bits need to be versatile and able to accommodate everything from glam chrimbo drinks to effortless slope chic.
Not only is this my all time favourite beauty product (you can read this and more about me here) but it needs to be yours too, especially when you are skiing. The effect that the snow has on the sun is to reflect it straight back up to the often only exposed part of your body, your face. I love this La Roch Posay spf 50 which is tinted. It smells delicious! You can get it in a non tinted version too but this is like a bb cream on steroids! Remember to reapply it throughout the day in order to avoid goggle tan.
This is such a deliciously creamy foundation with medium coverage and lots of moisture. It will plump up cold weather beaten skin by hydrating and protecting it as it serves as a barrier from the elements.
I adore this concealer. It’s creamy with lots of coverage and is perfect for brightening the eye area or covering up any blemishes. I particularly like it because I feel I can use my tinted suncream during the day and just this. By skipping the foundation I feel I am allowing my skin to breath.
This is such a lovely product for when you want to have a natural ‘no makeup’ makeup look. I pop it on my lids which evens out the skin tone and doesn’t crease while lasting all day long.
I will never leave home without my eyebrows on! I love a polished look even if I choose to wear very little makeup. Eyebrows shape your face so well and can make such a difference to your overall appearance. This is a great pencil as its easy to apply and has a brush on the one end which is great for brushing out any wind blown brows.
This is a fairly move resistant pencil that allows your to give your eyes definition in one small movement. It’s a lovely rich black that has great pigment.
Eye khols are softer than normal pencils which means that you can move the colour on your lid easily and therefore double it up as an eyeshadow. I love this colour as it works really well with brown eyes for day time definition.
This is a great waterproof liquid eyeliner that is easy to apply. It’s not messy at all as you wind the product up to the nib which is angled for ease of application. For you all makeup artists out there, I have found this much harder to apply on other people – maybe one to avoid if you want an eyeliner for your kits.
This is a really versatile lip colour as you can plaster it on and get a really vampy colour out of it or dab a small amount on to get a light hint of berries.
This is a total must for combatting skiers lips or if you just want to keep your lips in great condition over the festive season… in time for the mistletoe!
