November is the one month of the year that gentlemen are allowed to get away with looking slightly like their favourite 80’s celebs… in public. Today is the day that ‘Movember’ parties will be hosted all over the world in aid of men’s health and more specifically prostate and testicular cancer. Gents are encouraged to grow moustaches during the eleventh month of each year in order to spread awareness of these awful illnesses. Now not all facial hair is created equal. It takes a fair amount of grooming to get your ‘tash in a Mo-worthy state of affairs. If your wedding is a November one, make sure that you and your boys aren’t sporting a ridiculous extravagance on your top lip. Photos are going to be a reminder, for many years to come, of some of the less wise decisions we have made in the past. Don’t let your wedding day facial hair fall into that category!
If you are absolutely sure you know that facial hair is going to be making an appearance on your wife’s special day (yes I said it) here are some top tips for grooming that you will need to take heed of.
There is a big difference between unruly facial hair and a well kept beard. If you are Movember-ing it grow the hair on your whole face until you have enough length whereby you can shave off your beard to reveal a full tash. You can groom yourself suave with one of these waterproof bad boys from Philips.
The last thing you want is to stop taking care of the skin underneath your beard or moustache. Especially in these winter months you may need to make sure that you take extra care as your skin can dry out. The best thing for this is beard conditioner. This one is great as it conditions your beard with a lovely smelling oil which helps to keep your skin underneath in tip top condition.
If you are serious about creating a masterpiece that is worthy of Ram Singh Chauhan (him) then you will need a beard comb and some moustache wax. Grooming your beard and moustache will help it to grow in the desired direction as well as maintaining the appearance of a well groomed gentleman.
